CARDIO CABERET and POLE FITNESS - Tischambia

Back in 1979 Tischambia's parents discovered Michael Jackson for her. She had never danced before and music never interested her until that album was brought home. Before she knew it, her hips started moving and haven't stopped since. She was dancing in the living room, on stage, and in clubs. Sometimes she would perform in front of her antiques, sometimes in front of thousands people. Her dance style is a potluck of club dancing, african, salsa, ballet, and modern styles, and whatever else her body decides to do.
She has always had a natural flair for teaching. Anytime Tischambia danced people would come up to compliment her and ask where she studied and/or taught. Her response was always to pull them on the dance floor and teach them moves right then and there! She has no formal schooling in dance, just that of life. Her motto is: "If you can put your left foot in front of your right foot, you can dance", and she believes the most important thing about dancing is attitude. She considers herself and imperfect person but it's her attitude that makes her "perfectly fabulous" when it comes to dance. Tischambia's goal is to help others have that same sense of confidence when they attend her classes.
Cardio Cabaret is similar to an aerobics class. The difference is that you will be learning a dance routine that will keep you engaged and entertained and is guaranteed to make you smile and laugh. (Some students have requested additional time after class to practice what they learned with Tischambia because they enjoyed it so much!) The routines are taught anywhere from four to six weeks before they change, with low, moderate, and advanced progressions for each one.

Laiya loves to teach and enjoys helping others discover their fabulous inner female. For a thrill, Laiya likes to spin a fire-hoop from time to time. |
